About

My name is Christopher Burns, CB for short. I studied Geology at Colgate University and in my time there, I received my first camera. My parents purchased me a Canon AE-1 with the intent that I would use it for a geology field camp. I currently reside in Richmond, Virginia and am actively practicing geology and continuing to take photographs, but I am focusing my lens on much more than just rocks. Through my travels, I have explored different photographic subjects, including landscapes and people.  I have also been hired to photograph the interior and exterior of homes, and appreciate the dedication it takes to create appeal through a photograph.

Not only does photography require the skill to operate the camera, but a degree of patience. The “decisive moment,” in which you wait for the right stroke of light, or the right expression to come across someone's face, is crucial to the success of a photograph.
